Big Magic, the general entertainment channel from Reliance Broadcast Network, is to be carried on India's free direct-to-home (DTH) platform DD Direct+, hot on the heels of an earlier distribution deal with Videocon d2h.
The channel offers what it terms an 'eclectic' mix of programming, from family dramas and game shows to reality TV, cookery shows and weekend movies.
"Big Magic is very happy to add DD Direct+ to it distribution bouquet. DD Direct+ penetrates into the deeper pockets where even cable TV finds it difficult to reach, adding substantially to our overall channel reach," said Sunil Kumaran, business head, Big Magic.
"Our mix of shows appeal to a wide cross section of audiences and the addition of DD Direct+ allows us to take this content to newer audiences, otherwise difficult to reach," he added.
Big Magic is already available on the private DTH players Airtel Digital, Videocon d2h, Dish TV, and Reliance Digital TV, as well as multi system operators Hathway, Incable, Digicable, DEN, 7 Star, ABS, Siticable, Star Broadband and GTPL.
