ESS acquires TV rights to Hong Kong Cricket Sixes

ESPN Star Sports (ESS) is to broadcast the Karp Group Hong Kong Cricket Sixes for the next three years, beginning with this year's tournament from 28-30 October.

The rights ESS has acquired cover non-terrestrial TV, internet and mobile broadcast of the event, to be held this year at Kowloon Cricket Club.

Star Cricket will show all the live action from the 12 participating teams. The All Stars have been drawn with fellow Pool A contestants Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Scotland. Defending champions Australia face England, Bangladesh and Ireland in Pool B, while last year's defeated finalists Pakistan, South Africa, India and Hong Kong make up Pool C.

Sanath Jayasuriya, Shahid Afridi, Shaun Tait, Herschelle Gibbs, Abdul Razzaq, Jacob Oram and the International Cricket Council's Affiliate Player of the Year, Ryan Ten Doeschate of the Netherlands are the stars confirmed to play at this year's Hong Kong Cricket Sixes.
