TV date for Lady Gaga and SRK as Ra.One opens worldwide

Stars are set to collide as Bollywood actor/director Shah Rukh Khan meets up with pop icon Lady Gaga during her forthcoming tour of India for a show on UTV Stars and UTV Bindass.

The hour long interview will air in November, according to IANS.

Shah Rukh Khan had been disappointed that he was unable to collaborate with Lady Gaga for a song on Ra.One, his blockbusting science fiction film, which premiered simultaneously in London, Dubai and Toronto on 25 October and opens across India for Diwali.

During the televised chat, Lady Gaga will reportedly talk to Shah Rukh Khan about her life, career, Bollywood, and global fan base. The American singer may also perform in front of 25 Gaga fans invited to the show.

The pop star is in India to perform at a party to mark this weekend's inaugural Grand Prix of India. Her live show, at the Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida, is on 30 October.

Meanwhile, the computer graphics laden Ra.One will reportedly be released across 3,000 screens in India and in 400 cinemas internationally today (26 October). About 500 cinemas will show the 3D version of the hotly anticipated Shah Rukh Khan film.

"I think one of the few things we need to go ahead in is the technology and the way we make our films and tell our stories," Shah Rukh Khan said about Ra.One. "So yeah, it's a step towards that, but it would be too big to say that it would compete with an international film."

He told concerned Bollywood aficionados that the fantasy adventure still includes singing and dancing.
