Indian iPad app for IBNLive news well received

Take up of new iPad app for the Web18 news portal IBNLive.com has exceeded the company's expectations, after it rose to top spot for all Indian apps in just one day after launch.

The app, which is available free from the iTunes store, provides live TV news as well as video on demand, blogs from reporters, and photo galleries.

"The response of the IBNLive mobile app across all smartphone platforms was incredible and now, we have just taken news consumption to a new level with the IBNLive app for the iPad. This has been vindicated by the fantastic reviews and the app reaching the top slot in the iTunes store within just a day of its launch," Lakshmi Narasimhan, chief executive, Web18 is quoted as saying by Best Media Info.
