Sunny Leone spices up Bigg Boss 5

Canadian porn star Sunny Leone has entered the Bigg Boss 5 house amid a glare of publicity across India, a country whose film industry she hopes will now embrace her thanks to the popular reality TV format – known elsewhere in the world as Big Brother.

After entering the Bigg Boss house in traditional Indian dress on Saturday (19 November) she has already reportedly caught the eye of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who has offered her a part in Murder 3, according to the Indian Mirror. The film will star the director's son, Rahul Bhatt, who has also spent time in the Bigg Boss house.

Ms Leone claims staring in Hindi films has been a long held dream.

Speaking to India Today, Sunny, who comes from a Sikh family in Ontario, said: "After this show I am sure that I will get noticed by Bollywood. I always aspired to appear in Bollywood films, and Bigg Boss was the first offer to come to me from India."

Of Indian origin, she sees her participation in the Colors reality TV show as a way of re-establishing her Indian ties.

Since 2005, Sunny Leone has appeared in some mainstream as well as adult films – including a cameo appearance in the horror movie The Girl Next Door.
