Star Plus brings Survivor to India

The international reality TV show Survivor is making its Indian debut on Star Plus on 6 January.

Twenty-two contestants were asked to survive 45 days on a remote Philippine island for the show, which originated in Sweden in 1997 and is currently in its 23rd season in the US.

The marooned contestants are formed into two competing teams. Each episode, the team loosing team has to nominate to remove one of its members from the show.

From 11am on 6 January on Star Plus and after 3pm via www.starplus.in viewers can see Survivor-related content collected closer to home broadcast from Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai.

Celebrities and the show's participants, including Payal Rohatgi, Priyanka Bassi, Karan Patel, JD Majethia, and Abhinav Shukla, will perform programme-related challenges at the mall.
