Neo to air New Zealand-South Africa cricket series

The Nimbus-owned Neo Cricket channel has acquired the Indian broadcast rights from Max for the showdown between South Africa and New Zealand, which begins on 17 February.

Neo Sports Broadcast recently lost the rights to air the matches played by the India national cricket team, and its cricket channel's content will be boosted by the three tests, one day internationals, and twenty20 clashes.

"The series promises to be highly engaging as South Africa is just one step away from being the No. 1 test side while New Zealand is in terrific form after drawing a test series against Australia last December," said Prasana Krishnan, chief operating officer, Neo Sports Broadcast.

South Africa's tour of New Zealand runs from 17 February until 23 March.

Neo will also showcase the four nation Asia Cup from 1-12 March - comprising India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
