Zee TV seeks dancers for Guinness World Record

The team behind Zee TV's Dance India Dance is assembling the largest ever gathering of Bollywood dancers in an attempt to set a new world record and simultaneously increase awareness of the reality TV show.

The 'danceathon' will be held on 1 March at Somaiya College Grounds in Mumbai, and is open to participants of all ages. Zee TV will then broadcast what is being dubbed the 'Biggest Bollywood Dance' on 10 March.

Mentors Remo D'Souza, Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis will choreograph the mass event, which will seek to replace the current record also set by the Dance India Dance team. This saw 1,336 people gather in one place to dance to Bollywood numbers for a minimum of three minutes.

A video showing the set choreography will be available to all in advance via Facebook, YouTube and the Dance India Dance website.
