Asianet launches movie channel

Asianet, the first Malayalam satellite TV channel, is to launch a 24-hour free-to-air movie channel, Asianet Movies, on 15 July.

It will have a library featuring super-hit movies, classic movies and evergreen movies in addition to the most recent films, celebrity chats and movie-related programmes.

As well as Malayalam movies, the channel will show super-hit movies in Tamil and Hindi languages.

Spanish Masala, a Malayalam film directed by Lal Jose and starring Dileep, Kunchakko Boban, Biju Menon and Daniela, will be the first movie to be shown on the channel.

Asianet Movies will be available all over India, West Asia and other countries.

In Kerala, the channel is available through all major cable TV operators and leading DTH platforms.
