TSL aids production path at Mathrubhumi TV

The nascent Malayalam news channel Mathrubhumi TV has installed TSL Products' TallyMan TM2 studio control system and a number of AMUT-2MHD audio monitoring units in a production workflow efficiency drive.

The 24-hour channel launched in January 2013 from its headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. It is one of four channels run by the Mathrubhumi Group to serve the 36 million Malayalam-speakers in the Indian state of Kerala, under the direction of M P Veerendrakumar and managing editor P V Chandran.

"The TallyMan TM2 system sits at the heart of the network's operational centre (NOC) providing a seamless communication path between equipment, while the AMUT units comprehensively monitor embedded audio," the company states.

In addition to bureaus throughout Kerala, Mathrubhumi TV plans to have news hubs in Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
