Zee launches children's edutainment channel

Zee Entertainment Enterprises has launched ZeeQ, an edutainment channel targeting children aged 4 to 14.

MD & CEO Punit Goenka said: “ZeeQ will address the educational need gaps through engaging content. The 24-hour channel will be available on DTH and digital cable platforms as a paid-for channel.”

The channel, which will go on air on 5 November, will be operated by Zee Learn, a company that also runs a chain of pre-schools. Zee Q will have a mix of home-produced and acquired content.
