Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam DTH premiere postponed

The DTH premiere of Kamal Haasan's new movie Vishwaroopam/Vishwaroop, which was due to take place on 10 January, before its worldwide theatrical release on 11 January, might not happen, as Rajkamal Films has postponed the release date.

Salil Kapoor, COO of Dish TV, told the Hindustan Times: "The release of the movie has been postponed and nothing else has happened."

The revised dates are yet to be announced by Rajkamal Films.

Neither Dish TV nor Airtel would confirm the number of bookings they have got for the movie, but Kapoor said: "We will go by what our customers want us to do. If they want a refund, we will refund the money."

The decision to premiere the movie on DTH platform first has been opposed by theatre owners.
