Diwali offer from Dish TV India

Indian direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV platform Dish TV is offering an INR1500 cash-back incentive for new subscribers who purchase one of its standard or high-definition set-top boxes during the festival season.

In addition, the Zee Group-owned network is offering a ‘combo’ deal to provide customers with a free standard-definition box with the purchase of each high-definition receiver, to encourage multi-television households to come on board.

“Diwali is a very important festival and is celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in all parts of the country,” said Salil Kapoor, chief operating officer, Dish TV.

“We at Dish TV wanted to further strengthen and reach the core of our Indian audience. We have launched these festive bonanza offers to engage with our customers and deepen our reach even further,” he added.

Both offers will be available in the 42 cities that have been digitised under the first two phases of India’s national cable TV digitisation drive. However, customers in every Indian city will be able to benefit from the cash-back offer.

India’s digitised cities now include New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Agra, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Howrah, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kalyan-Dombivli, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Meerut, Mysore, Nagpur, Nasik, Navi Mumbai, Patna, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, Rajkot, Ranchi, Sholapur, Srinagar, Surat, Thane, Vadodara, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.

Dish TV, which broadcasts over 400 channels via the NSS-6 and AsiaSat 5 satellite platforms, is India’s largest DTH provider in terms of subscriber numbers, which now exceed 15 million.
