Nachitket Pantvaidya to head up Sony Entertainment Television in India

Nachiket Pantvaidya is to take over as senior executive vice president and business head of Sony Entertainment Television (SET) from Sneha Rajani, who has become president and head of Multi Screen Media (MSM) Motion Pictures, the Indian media group has announced.

Prior to his appointment, Pantvaidya was the business head of Star Plus and has also held several roles in the Star TV network, including head of Star Pravah and managing director of Fox Television Studios.

Meanwhile, the long-serving MSM executive Anooj Kapoor will assume additional responsibilities as senior executive vice president and business head, SAB, and also for a new initiative in the Hindi entertainment space.

"I am certain that Sneha, Nachiket and Anooj will revitalise and provide fresh perspective to their respective areas of responsibility," said N P Singh, chief executive, MSM.

"Each brings unique strengths to grow the business and we wish them the best in their new roles. I am confident that 2014 will be a year of innovation and growth for MSM."
