ETV Kannada and ETV Marathi delivered to US by RRsat

Hyderabad-based broadcaster ETV has enlisted the support of RRsat Global Communications Network to manage and distribute two of its 12 regional satellite channels from India to the United States.

The Indian network's ETV Kannada and ETV Marathi channels are now being downlinked at RRsat's teleport in Emek HaEla from India's Insat 4a satellite, where they are converted from PAL to NTSC, encoded, and delivered by fibre to the US direct to home (DTH) provider Dish Network.

"We are very pleased that ETV has chosen the RRsat Global Network to further expand its global reach to the USA," said Lior Rival, vice president of sales and marketing, RRsat. "ETV is joining our extensive list of customers and we are looking forward to a long term business relationship."

"RRsat Global Communication Network Ltd provides reliable, good-quality, turnkey delivery solutions. RRsat has been instrumental in delivering signals of ETV channels to USA with necessary time shift according to one of our requirements," added K Bapineedu, vice president, ETV.
