nexGTv gets 15 million views during India v Sri Lanka Series

Indian mobile TV service nexGTv, from DigiVive, attracted over 15 million views during the India v Sri Lanka series from 21 July to 7 August 2012.

There were over 40,000 unique downloads on the second match day of the series from the Nokia OVI store. nexGTv has maintained its number one position on the OVI store for the past two months and on other app stores it remains among top five apps in the entertainment category.

nexGTv has already been activated by 3.5 million users and on an average there are 20,000 downloads every day.

G D Singh, director of DigiVive, said: “Cricket being more than a sport in India prompted us to take the live cricketing action on to the mobile platform and offer live telecast of the India v Sri Lanka series at one touch of an application. nexGTv services enabled cricket enthusiasts across operators who were on the move to enjoy seamless viewing of the matches, even in low network range through our state of the art adaptive streaming technology.”
