Come Dine With Me arrives in India

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has signed a deal with Star TV for a localised series of reality show Come Dine With Me.

The agreement will cover the broadcasting of 40 x 30-minute episodes of the show, which sees amateur chefs competing against each other by hosting dinner parties. It will be produced by Miditech.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment senior vice president of Asia-Pacific, Augustus Dulgaro, said: "Come Dine With Me has proven to be a huge hit with audiences around the globe. This deal with Star marks the arrival of Europe’s most-watched TV format in Asia, where we believe it will be equally as popular with viewers."
